The GYROKINESIS® Method

This method, derived from what was originally called “Yoga for Dancers” and from which the GYROTONIC® exercise method evolved, is a great way to realize all the benefits of the GYROTONIC® method without equipment and in a group setting. GYROKINESIS® classes offer fluid, rhythmic, spiraling movements performed seated, standing, and on the floor. The work can be adapted to just about any fitness level.

This system is great for people who travel, or who are looking for a program they can practice at home, since all you need is a chair and a mat or soft floor. It can be done anywhere.

We advise taking a few private GYROTONIC® or GYROKINESIS® sessions before going into the GYROKINESIS® classes, as this work is very different from what you may have done before and it’s good to have an understanding of some basic concepts before jumping into the group class.

The effects this work has on the body can be very profound, so we hope you’ll give it a try for several classes. It will change the way you think about your body!
